The Peach Blossom Suite has a Victorian theme. It is equipped with a king-sized bed, a sitting room, attached luxury bath with deluxe clawfoot tub and private balcony. This room can be expanded into a two- bedroom suite by gaining access to an additional twin-bed bedroom (via the bathroom). Expanding the room is an excellent option for families. We want to take the guest back to the time when this great manor was built, the 1900s. The 1900s were a time of great change. In the 1900s, Wilbur and Orville Wright took their famous flight at Kitty-Hawk. Albert Einstein established his Quantum theory and Hershey’s Kisses and Crayons were invented. The 1900s were a great start to an amazing century and the Peach Blossom Suite captures that essence. |

The Sweet Auburn Room celebrates the rich history of the South in the 1960s. The room is furnished with a king-sized bed and adjoining private bath with jetted tub. In the early 1900s when the home was built, this room served as the sleeping porch and has wonderful knee to ceiling windows that provide views of the downtown skyline. In creating the décor for this room we endeavored to allow the guests to visit (or perhaps revisit the 1960s). The sixties was the decade of youth with movement away from the conservative fifties, resulting in revolutionary ways of thinking and real change in the cultural fabric of American life. Let us change the fabric of your life with a stay in the Sweet Auburn room. |

The Roaring 20s Suite is a wonderful two-bedroom suite. One bedroom has a full-sized sleigh bed and the second contains twin beds. The two-bedrooms share a common desk work area with roll-top desk and window seat and a private bathroom. Both bedrooms look out onto a towering 100 year old oak tree and have partial views of the downtown skyline. The bedrooms can be reserved together or separately. The 1920s was a time of conservatism, it was a time of great social change. From the world of fashion to the world of politics, forces clashed to produce the most explosive decade of the century. In music, the three sounds were jazz, jazz, and jazz. Youth ruled everything – if it was young, it was the thing. It was the age of prohibition, it was the age of prosperity, and it was the age of downfall. It was the age of everything, and you'll find [almost] everything here. Enjoy! |

The Peach Pit gives a whole new definition to the term "Pit". It is a cozy downstairs apartment with a private entrance. It includes a bedroom with full-size bed, bathroom, living room and fully equipped kitchen with eat-in area. In the Peach Pit, you'll have the opportunity to revisit the 1940s when world events were dominated by World War II. War production pulled the US out of the Great Depression. The first great exodus of women from the home to the workplace began as women were needed to replace men who had gone off to war. After the war, women had to give up their jobs to the returning men, but they had tasted independence -- the world was forever changed. Perhaps you'll experience a rejuvenating change with a stay in The Peach Pit! |
